And if you can do everything as though you were doing nothing yet without ever pulling away from it or imagining it was something other than yourself or utterly pure, then you are getting towards the point. The ground - here covered - is always there: it is the basic nature of anything that is even vaguely sentient. The path, though, and the fruition - FOR ALL THE FACT THAT THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME THING - are not... The former (the purifying of perception) needs to be cultivated; the latter (perfect stability in, upon and as openness, radiance and all-encompassing compassion) realised... generally bit by bit...
