Dan: Yes, being misquoted is only one of its many dangers. :-) Kidding. You got the quote right, particularly the spirit of it, which is what counts. >It is good that the Garden of Eden is also the best >place to be. Dan: It is the only place to be - full of energy - so full that infinite possibilities emerge instant to instant. So still and silent -- nothing ever comes or goes; Adam and Eve imagined they were booted out, and their journey began. Their journey that could only lead them back to where they started, where they never left, where the imagined separations occurred in an instant and were over before they began. Reminds us that we are always in the "Garden" it is only perception that causes the belief that we are not 'there'. It is remarkable that we can all spend countless lifetimes taking the journey to nowhere. The "Twilight Zone" had an episode where a couple got trapped in a time warp on a train and always wound up right back at their destination. Maybe we should elect Rod Sterling as one of America's lead thinkers in non-dual philosophy. Linda All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self. In addition to that Twilight Zone episode, there was an Outer Limits show ("12:01")about a scientist who kept repeating the same hour of time, being the only one aware this was occurring. This was later made into a movie version. Then, there is the movie Groundhog Day in which the same day is repeated. So, yes, there does seem to be awareness in the popular imagination about some kind of eternal loop, a journey to nowhere as you put it. In Groundhog Day I think the idea was to enjoy the journey as it is, bring love to it... -- Peace -- Dan
