Guest guest
< Swami says that there is no mind other than a bundle of thoughts. It is the ego that is the string of those desires and thoughts. Built on the tendencies and impressions of infinite lifetimes. It is a programme that we play, it is the only one we have, so it overwhelms us. Transformation is the way out and that requires destroying the existing programmes and building another more compassionate one. One whose connecting thread is Ahimsa or non-violence, Daya, compassion and not ego-desire. > --- I see this differently. In the transforming relinquishment of the programs we call the mind, no new program is required. The Natural Way of Self is compassionate by nature and any learned compassionate behavior would only be an attempt to imitate what is already perfect and "awaiting" an open vessel to express through. Most humans cannot imagine functioning without a programmed mind because we have accepted this false identification as our inherent condition. Simply removing the false reveals the true. This is liberation - the simple and exquisite expression of Beingness through us as it has always taken place in the complex forms of nature, with only genetic coding as pattern. xan
