Guest guest
Tony, Thank you for sharing the material, now I'll edit the original, but frankly I found it fascinating and wanted to thank you for taking the time to post it. Wonder if one can explore this in meditation? Would think so, afterall, the knowledge began somewhere with someone making a realization through their good intuition... I'm so sleepy today I have no idea if what I said makes sense, but wanted to thank you before the email passed into limbo and hope you will share more on the same subject :-) Love and Light All, ~ bo ~

Manipura is located at the navel and is the source of the fire principle. Yogis produce heat in the body by focusing on this region. This is also useful for concentration during pranayama. I really wanted the ref: on the Sahasrara not being the end and the 'Hrudayam', being so. Somebody was looking for a reference as well as Sri Ramana Maharshi, on this subject.I threw the whole page in without really checking; a lesson again, drop me a grade. I shall inform the publishers,( luckily I correspond with her), thank you. This is not the first in this particular book. Love Tony. ===== http://members.xoom.com/aoclery/ (glossary incl?) Your source has another obvious error: >" The Visuddha chakra is in the pit of the throat, >near the pituitary gland. The pituitary is not in the throat! It's usually associated with ajna chakra, and the pineal gland with sahasrara... but some people say it's the other way round.
