Dear Friends at a,

 

I will be offline for a week or so. We have some brilliant moderators

here and so the list is in good hands. We cherish the diversity of

perspectives offered here and it is a great opportunity to learn and reflect.

Dan, Greg, Bruce, Linda, Jill, Dirk, Jan, Tony, Nav, Ashoka, Pham, Gloria,

Zenbob, Dharma, Mira, Xan, Holly, Gene, Janpa, Michelle, and so many others

set the model for us for reasonable and pleasant interaction and exchange

with each other which is characteristic of a fellowship. Usually a fellowship

revolves around a guru or a particular system of philosophy or point of view.

Here the fellowship is centered on simply the Joy of Being without

conditions, obligations, or any other requirements. Joy and Love are

intangibles and yet we cannot do without them. Compassion and wisdom emanate

from the Pure Joy of Being that is the nature Awareness. Of course, to

conduct our practical life, we will have differing orientations and points of

view. I believe we can usually be true to our views and beliefs without

necessarily attacking those of others, particularly if differences are simply

in spiritual orientation and not in outward behavior. Of course, when we see

behavior that is outside the acceptable social norms and is destructive, that

is not conducive to a fellowship, and we need to speak up and point it out.

It is a difficult balance which I myself have been unable to keep at times

but it is worth aspiring to. Your presence here is both a wonder and a joy.
