Guest guest
Wonderful, wonderful song! Years ago I had a favorite sung by Gil Scott-Heron called "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." When I lived in LA during the Rodney King uprising, I thought, sadly, that he was wrong. A strange feedback loop (a la chaos theory) happened where folks watched the looting on TV, then ran out to join it, escalating the violence. Your song made me think we indeed have a choice as to whether we carry God or the media in our heads. Thanks! Holly
Guest guest
hi in honour of y2k and as the official ghost of milleniums past, i send the following lyrics for my y2k song i wrote many many moments ago and just thought of now. ... THE NEWS SONG --details at 11 they say that it's a prophecy you watch it on t.v. it's on the radio each night to scare you into sleep love was something that you read forgotten long ago but when it all goes down, hey don't despair you'll be the first to know. (chorus) 500 million people runnin' scared tryin' to avoid each other's eyes to get someplace, somewhere if loving isn't on your road and hope's an old old song look close and love your universe 500 million people could be wrong. there's a guy down there on market street he's got a sign that says "your sin has caused a polar shift and soon you'll all be dead each virus is a sign from god these are the final woes" but when it all goes down, hey don't despair you'll be the first to know. (chorus and delusionary ripping guitar solo by gen) I hear the ocean's creepin in the sky's about to fall (((re: chicken little)) there's aliens that wreck your sleep and crystals tell it all and jesus was from jupiter and the sun will soon explode but when it all goes down hey don't despair you'll be the first to know. (chorus: in the video on mtv, the rockets are dancing on the berlin wall as it was in bleaker times. . . ) if the right hand doesn't know what the left's about to do your mind will be so busy it'll split the world in two those aliens live right next door where you're afraid to go the media is in your head now you're the first to know chorus out of breath--- cut to video of buddha fountain with beer shooting out its nose words and music by gen berlin i love you

Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self. Welcome all to a.
