When there is no outside and no entity, what is there? It is known this question can't be answered in words. But what is there? If not answered, there is only killing and being killed, and an endless procession of "entities" being born and dying. The assumption that there is an outside is the assumption of an entity, and that assumption immediately constructs a contradiction expressed as "awareness of birth and death", of surviving and killing. -- Namaste --
Guest guest
Hello Dan... your enjoinder to Antoine reminds me of Douglas Harding's Headless Way...are you familiar with his teachings? For those may not be, Mr. Harding teaches a very accessible approach to discovering who we Really Are, with specific exercises that are, I think, very accessible to the Western mind. For anyone interested in exploring further, the site is www.headless.org I would be very interested to hear the opinions of any who try the exercises...Radiant Blessings, MariJoy Dan Berkow, PhD [berkowd] Tuesday, December 14, 1999 2:36 PM Re: Antoine/killing "Dan Berkow, PhD" <berkowd >"as for the association of love=eating, i think it would be better to >substitute the word "eating" with "killing", since in order to eat an >animal, one must kill it. therefor it would become love=killing." > >matt lillie > >For me it as been easy to equate love with life, life being a branch of >the tree of love. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
