Guest guest
.. . .and this is all happening now this poem of the century oh,yeah man the future looks bright where there's light-- who put the darkness out-- and what was all that darkness for anyway? right now the poem of the century is sending the poet off to school in despised pig tails and 35cents for a hot meal after watching apollo land on an alleged moon. right now somebody is inventing the "chia pet." right now, that is not the world the poet chooses to see beyond the wars and the poverty, the disease and the uncaring meat which seems to people the planet. that was the bad dream. right now the poem of the century is in a good dream. the century's over, and i've learned too much, consumed too many products, amassed too many electronic devices, driven when i could have walked, zigged when i should have zagged. but all that's over. the poem of the century is a good dream. in this one is peace and no assembly is required. as the century ends, oh if it could! that is the exhileration -- that is the mini thrill. as if we could just leave it all behind! fat chance, bucko! that takes forgiveness that takes all the now you can sit with that takes seeing that the next guy is only as good as your worst hair day --that the next guy is you-- then you can end the century. for some of us, it already has, with little outward bravado. . . as the century ends, the poem of the century is vital, is now, is inward looking and outward loving. it is essentially nondual. it is heart. it is you. heart beating between the lines. this poet will send heart beats to you all and the universe when her clock chimes twelve. no special plans: eat the rest of that hickory farms cheese ball from christmas. hug a tree. yippeeee. the poem of the century, waking y2k ready since peace dawned love and many zeros! gen
