I'd like to start my talk with a funny story. The Clintons were in a terrible plane crash and all three died. When they got to heaven they approached the Throne of God and God said to Chelsea, "Why should I let you in heaven?" Chelsea answered, "I am the daughter of the President, a representative of all the children in America." God said, "Very well, you may sit on my right side." Then he said to Bill, "Why should I let you in heaven?" Bill answered, "I am the President of the United States, a representative of all the people in America." God said, "Very well, you may sit on my left side." Then he said to Hillary, "Why should I let you in heaven?" Hillary answered, "I don't know, but you're in my seat!" ahem ... yes ... ahem ... well, as I said, my name is Jerry Katz [laughter]. I would like to talk about nonduality and human suffering [laughter]. I don't see what's so funny about that, unless you've met my ex-wife! ahem ... yes ... ahem. Allow me to proceed with my thesis [laughter]. It is the nondual perspective that all things are the same and I do not merely love you all, but I AM you all [laughter]. That's my ex- laughing! ahem ... yes ... basic to my own understanding is the inner knowing that nothing is happening nor are we going anywhere; this knowing has not come easily. I have suffered greatly in my life. [laughter] Hey, who wants to hear that Clinton joke again?! ahem ... yes ... well ... anybody see any good movies lately? yes ... well ... ....in that case I shall elaborate upon my thesis [laughter]... ----------------------------- Such was the gist of my talk.
