Guest guest
Source : advaitin "Anand Natarajan" <anandn A nice question was put to Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi by a devotee Devotee : You are Bhagavan, You know everything. Can you tell me when I will become a Jnani ? Maharshi: If I am Bhagavan , then to me everything is the Self. Hence there is neither a Jnani nor an Ajnani. On the other hand if I am not Bhagavan , then I am as good as you. Either way I cannot answer your question. Another Devotee : Does a Jnani also have Karma and does he suffer or enjoy from them?(a sentence to this effect).Does'nt all Karma get burnt up after Jnana ? Maharshi: For a jnani , there never was any karma and hence no actions to perform nor results to look at. The jnani is immersed in the bliss of the Self. However for the spectator, he sees the Jnani's body doing various things as anyone else.A serpent gets rid of its old slough and moves about free. This old slough may be beaten by the wind, but the serpent does'nt feel it. It is ever free from it.
