Guest guest
< Christopher: "The Mind cannot change itself .. so how do you think you can change your mind" ~ As I see it the mind can and does change itself - thought patterns do change through learning - but it cannot awaken itself. It is a closed system which sees only itself, as it is the physical senses which verify the existence of the physical body. The thinking mind can know *about* no-mind as an idea, but no-thought is only known directly by that which does not think. <snip> >the mind can be allowed to be changed ... by removing the (unconscious) self-limiting deception imposed by organised religions. ~ Yes, the self-limiting deceptions imposed by organized thought, religious and non-religious. I agree, the belief that God is "out there" is blatantly distorting and limiting. > then and only then can there be at-one-ment between the conscious and unconscious minds .. which is en-lighten-ment as the unconscious beliefs are brought to the light of daily consciousness. ~ My view of enlightenment is individual awareness of that which is beyond both conscious and unconscious mind, and is no mind at all. The rising of unconscious beliefs in daily consciousness is a part of seeing and seeing through all that mind stuff. > Thank you for assisting me in putting all of this together .. the words around it are still coming .. but, Xan, you might care to comment to me on how you feel (body kinaesthetic reaction)_ this sits with you. ~ Thank you for participating with me in this interweaving growth of understanding. I can't answer your question about a feeling reaction unless you are more specific. love xan

Well, since we are NOT our thinking minds, what difference does it make what they can do or not do? )) In my experience, you can alter any of your bodies, but you have to do it from a higher level than the body you're working on. Guest guest
Hey Chris, I'm interested in the same thing you are... clearing away the old stuff that forms blockages... >>In my experience, you can alter any of your bodies, but you have to do it >>from a higher level than the body you're working on. > >No matter how many times you fill a crack with fresh plaster >and cover it with a layer of paint, That isn't what I said... I said alter the body... you can clear the block... and it's gone permanently. You can also alter for healing and improvement by changing the underlying pattern. >the crack will reappear >unless you fix the foundations So start with muladhara and root level... You won't be able to be very fully present on higher levels until you've done a lot of work on the lower ones anyway. Love, Dharma
