Every time I wash, I am conscious (mindful) of washing off emotions, both my own, and those that I have picked up from others. Every time I have a shower, I am mindful of allowing the water to wash my body clean .. of physical as well as "psychic" dirt ... Every time I go to the toilet, I am conscious of allowing that passage of body "waste and toxins" to take with it, from my interior, any thoughts, feelings and emotions that I have been processing. and every time I eat, I am conscious of removing all of the vibrations of any person who has handled either the food, the utensils or the ingredients prior to me receiving it in front of me. With a physical wash-cloth and soap? Come on, Chris. )) You can use the symbols to do work on higher levels... but you don't really think the wash-cloth is getting the job done, do you? If you do, then why do anything else? Just wash and that's all you need.

She has taught me a number of cleansing practices involving using the breath to move thought into the earth. I have come to appreciate the power of ritual in a new way, viewing conscious intent as a wonderful tool. Chris's washcloth ritual sounds terrific and I'm going to try it as soon as I finish my coffee! Holly
Guest guest
Hi Holly, >Shortly after I moved here to New Mexico last fall, I began studying with a >curandera trained in Aztec and Toltec traditions. Wonderful! You are so fortunate! > She has taught me a number >of cleansing practices involving using the breath to move thought into the >earth. I have come to appreciate the power of ritual in a new way, viewing >conscious intent as a wonderful tool. Yes! > I see the present moment as the >intersection of the finite and the infinite, containing all sorts of magical >possibilities. Chris's washcloth ritual sounds terrific and I'm going to try >it as soon as I finish my coffee! Holly It does sound good... I'm just pointing out that it IS a ritual, using the symbols of the washcloth, water, soap... and his intent, as you say. Is his experience the same as that of the guy next door, who just grabs a washcloth and washes his face? I don't think so... I think Chris is doing something different, something more, in order to cleanse the inner levels, as well as the physical body. You know, this all started when Xan was talking about the physical body and the other bodies, and Chris objected... he saw a problem >from viewing each of the bodies as separate entities .. >thus creating boundaries that have to be overcome >in order to move from one body to the next. >This is a learned perception .. >a belief stemming from scientific measurement methodology ... >snip< > >But the first step is to remove the boundaries ... >then there are no initiations > no "mansions" > no "doorways" > no "chakras" > >and no doing ... I don't think you could do your cleansing practices and rituals from this perspective. And I don't think Chris does either, in practice. I was just pointing out that in practice he acts as if he does have various bodies... and his ritual for cleansing is a case in point.
