Part of this concern was about food--ayurveda teaches that the emotions and spiritual state of the cook are in the food. Oh no! What does this mean if we have to stop at Subway for a sandwich on a busy day, instead of going home and baking our bread after a quiet meditation, then making our wholesome fresh spiritually clean lunch! My solution was to mentally thank and pray for everyone who was in any way connected with the preparation of the food I eat, rather than try to rid the food of all influence. Jill I think that is a wonderful approach Jill. You are right in that people with an active Kundalini are very sensitive to vibrations and a positive mental atmosphere is helpful. This reminds me that when I was much younger, for a period of about a year or so I would sometimes see many of the events of next day and the people I would be meeting in my sleep the night prior. I wondered how my mind was catching all that but somehow it did. It was both fun and somewhat distracting. Mind is a powerful tool and connects us to each other at finer levels. Mind becomes sensitive through awareness, meditation, and reflection. Along with the sensitivity, developing an understanding, compassion, and detachment towards the waves of the mind is helpful.
