I've never thought of this card as a 'female' card though I have seen the card depicted as the Goddess Inanna. To me this card has always represented the light that we discover within ourselves after the falling of the Tower....nothing is left externally so one at that points finds the light of life within the self. However, I can easily see the connection to the mother/creative principal of life. On a numerological level 17 equals 8 which is considered the 'pranic body' and of course, prana is behind all manifestation and mothers are also behind every physical creation/manifestation. It is always comforting to see how all systems eventually teach the same truths. Linda » Hello Linda, Yes, it is comforting to see how each system that creates itself in its uniqueness comes to express the truth, as if the truth was always expressing itself to itself. I find a marvellous light to the star after the falling of the tower. There is another one, when one goes the other way around when one goes up Jacob's latter back to home base. The star shines of the light after the moon has passed. Like I once said to Dan on this list, there is also an other way, among so many, to see the star, where the star is all, a huge mandala, pointing to this eternal Bindu. And when one goes from a state to an other state, the star to the moon or the star to the falling tower or, why not?, the star to Ain, or any "other" _secret_ state, the "Bindu" will always be there as "comfort" in this multidimensional mandala, circle without a centre, or a centre without a circumference, something that is nothing. This absurd world in which the star shines so beautifully, like a flower to the sun. Ever looked at the black sky full of stars, seeing in them so many small white flowers pooping to your inner eye that is looking? It's not the Truth, but such a beautiful experience that is no more a lie than saying that this planet turns around the sun Another point of view, With love and amazement, Antoine
