Guest guest
Hi Roger! >>I could ask "What can we do to prevent other instances of the >>Columbine massacre that left 15 students dead?" or I could ask "How can we >>infuse compassion into cultural conflicts and thereby prevent acts of >>terrorism using nuclear/biological/chemical weapons that might very well >>kill us or our loved ones?" >> >>Now someone here might respond "Who is asking this question?" or "Who >want's >>to know?" and this is the Advaita Shuffle. This escape into the >>non-dual perspective turns away bringing non-duality as >>love & understanding into the challenge of any particular issue. Yes!!! I'm glad you said it!! I'm really tired of seeing this. I do understand the value of that method, but when it's over-used or used in the wrong place... whatever the motive... it certainly does block conversation! When I'm interested in a discussion and then somebody pulls the Advaita Shuffle, it's a clear sign to me that I can't talk any more about that subject... at least not with that person... in fact, nobody can ... so I just stop reading the thread.
