Guest guest
Namaste All, Dave. Petros, Gloria et al, NDS , HS, Petros wrote, 'that I write almost if I know something'. I must almost be on the right list then. It is just my style Petros, "I" do know, Who is me? This is the little I's understanding, and yes Gloria I do need more work, otherwise I wouldn't be writing anything at all. Dave, Vidya is a Sanskrit term for true knowledge, as opposed to Avidya or false knowledge. All mundane knowledge being false knowledge. Hence Socrates, 'the only thing that I know is that I know nothing'. Both these proceed from 'The Lord', bondage and liberation. The difference being Vidya or True Knowledge, or knowing our True Nature, or Natural State, is what releases us from ignorance. This relates to the state of so-called nescience where the 'soul', does not distinguish itself from the body/mind complex. However within this illusion, there is a modification, or a Highest Self, that dwells in us all as the 'Witness', which in essence is the source of our intelligence and actions. Full Vidya of the Self or Liberation can only come through it, coming from this 'Grace', or Anugraha. Some may call this Super-Super Consciousness or even Saguna Brahman/Devi with its instrument Sakti. The world is unreal, Brahman is real, All is Brahman. The last piece of the jigsaw puzzle is somewhere in this post, hahaha Love and Om Namah Sivaya, ===== http://members.xoom.com/aoclery/sanskritglos.htm ASATHO MA SATH GAMAYA, From the unreal lead me to the real, THAMASO MA JYOTHIR GAMAYA, From darkness, lead me to light, MRITHYOR MA AMRITAM GAMAYA.From death, lead me to immortality. If you might notice how differently people responded to you, Tony, when you shared from your personal experience of disillusionment with Sai Baba? Perhaps the message people are trying to get across, is that peeking at the answers in the back of the book is not the same as actually having the puzzle piece. You only cheat yourself. Even the most impressive intellectual knowledge, while it can sometimes be helpful with explaining to others , is no substitute for experiential knowing. This is not meant as a judgement on you, Tony, how would anyone know what your personal experience is when you so seldom share it? What is having the missing piece doing for you, Tony? Like what is life like for you from the witness state? Been to the store lately? With love, Glo
