Guest guest
<Tony: OK let me fall back on to my learning system of Vedanta. > ~ Dear I much prefer your communications when you fall back on your direct experience. xan < < Xan, I fall back on the Vedantic terminology for it is direct and understandable. My experience is what I try to write. Western language falls far short of the Sanskrit in it's descriptive power, especially with regard to spiritual concepts. Om Namah Sivaya, Tony. ~ Tony, "direct and understandable" is relative of course. I am aware that Sanskrit has words for states of consciousness that English does not even approach. However, Sanskrit terms are only understandable to those who have learned their meanings. If my purpose is to communicate clearly I use the language of whoever I am speaking to. I feel we are in a new time when, with the increase of Westerners awakening in awareness, we are compelled to develop ways of talking about the indescribable in common terms. xan
