Guest guest
Dear Dharma, This is a re-posting. Not sure the first attempt was successful. Dear Dharma, Thank you for your kind posting. I am reluctant to call anyone's posting just intellectual argumentation. But I agree with you whereever intellectualism appears in these discussions, it turns me off like a cold tap. I have no defence against it. I understand all the arguments very well, but it is as though they touch me on a level where I find little or no identification. I think one could meaningfully distinguish between truth and fact. All the high things the intellectual can explain may be absolutely true. But then there is the fact of ordinary human living where there is struggle, pain, joy and the whole range of limited and fragmented human responses to everyday challenges. These are the things we are generally concerned with. And despite the high philosophies of the great thinkers, they too live in this world where things generally appear less than whole, non-dual and integrated. So I listen with open ears and see with open eyes what they say and how things are described as though they are 'That', and wonder sometimes how they really felt today, and how true all the Truths which they speak about so elequently, are to them in every living moment. Truth, non-duality etc are a little high for me to talk about. I much more prefer to start from where we are, and see if we can help one another along this rather arduous path of self-discovery. Then we share that which we ARE, and not that which we presume ultimate reality to be.
