Namaste All,

Sri Lakshmanaswami says that it would be difficult to

travel the whole world and meet but two 'realised

souls'. I see claims that we have such people on these

lists, we are so fortunate? Out of 6 billion people?

Please stand up and be worshipped ha ha ha!!

Ego is fear and fear is ego, is it not? Ego arises out

of the fear of not knowing the world. The last

impediment to the mind dying is the fear of the ego.

Close to realisation the ego is in terror. It can even

convince people they are 'realised', so as to

perpetuate its own illusion. Manomayakosa!

Short of sahaja nirvikalpa samadhi, there are as many

variations of savikalpa samadhi as there are people on

the planet.

Who can relate the experience? If there is a who or a

witness there is no realisation? The witness is also

within illusion it sits on the same tree branch.

The Self sees neither a sky or a star, how can it?

A jivanmukti only has present unfinished karmas in the

body/mind complex. It is an illusory remnant like a

spinning wheel after the engine is turned off.

Who am I? So-Ham, He I am. Every breath breathes this;

So in Ham out!

No claim to any kind of realisation.I have come to

the conclusion that intelligences, a developed mind

and over education are an impediment to realisation. A

thing so simple as realisation can only be talked of

in like terms. I am amazed at how we can write so much

about this.

Om Namah Sivaya, Tony.

Dear Tony,

Please take another look at exactly why you seem to delight in "denying

realisation" to others (and yourself). The persons on these lists do not "need"

recognition, nor anything like "worship" from you..rather what do you get out of

harping on this issue and criticizing the list. Do you honestly think anyone

here is asking for your worship? Ha! Sure intellect may be misused, becoming a

barrier, as an illusionary way of spending time or spinning one's wheels a

person may be lost in thought or a dreamworld, but in itself, there is nothing

"wrong" about it and is no more a problem than anything else may be, any more

than there is anything wrong with eating. There are innumerable ways to go about

eating and to misuse this need, eat things bad for a person or overindulge, etc.

Since when is ignorance a requirement tho of realisation, as you seem to

suggest. Then you end by calling it "a thing so simple" yet no one here can have

had it and the very fact of writing and discussing is "proof" of that..yet you

ask for proof from us?? Hey, I can spot a set-up, golly gee.

Tony, the *proof* is invisibly behind the words said here. Consider an easier

example like motivation or intent...anytime you see a message of loving

kindness, do you see into the heart of the writer? Do you "know all about them"

or do you judge the intent by the perhaps clumsy or more skilled way of

expressing loving concern? Is not the list asking, How can we be more genuine?

Is it possible to simulate concern or fake love? Sure. More importantly, what

would be your motivation in "judging" them? Are you looking for encouraging

signs of generosity or hoping to spot a defect? Can you even know this from

reading one or a few emails?

You are right tho..in that why would a realised person still have the ego need

of proving he is realised, to your satisfaction or by your criteria. That would

indeed be silly. If you are looking thru the colored lenses of your criteria, lo

and behold... you see always your criteria - the sad part is you look at thru those same criteria, so harshly and rigourously and demandingly. How you

see "us here" actually has very little effect on "us"...a huge effect on you!!

Just see that first, and forget about seeing realisation for a while.

With love,

Glo
