Actually, I live in now world famous, or make that infamous, Littleton Colorado. Bruce asked a couple weeks ago: >Two more Columbine students were >killed the other day, somehow >the fierce prescriptions and >proscriptions of Moses seen to >have yet again fallen short. >How is the community handling >this latest blow? But I've shied away from responding so far. An outstanding question Bruce, it shakes me to the core. I look outward into the Littleton community, 17 children & one adult have been shot to death 4 miles from my home in the last year, 3 of those in the last month. The graphic unspeakable horror continues (many lurid details omitted)... And then I look into this NDS/HarshaSatsang community. So much could be said, but the words are beyond articulation at the moment. Regarding touch: I like what Barry Long has to say about tantric sexuality. So far I've read the "Making Love" book and saw a video "The Purpose of Making Love" recently. Barry condemns the abuse that apparently happened in Osho's group in the name of tantra. Yet he acknowledges Osho's realization. Barry emphasizes love. I've got to note here that I am entirely incapable of summarizing Barry in any meaningful way: I'm only pointing. Interestingly a couple of female friends read the "making love" book recently and neither liked it. Why isn't clear, although with any sage I guess you have to look beyond the particular style of expression to the understanding that is beyond words. I like Barry's "no sex without love" ethic. Seems that most or a lot of what goes on in the name of relationship in our world, the style of relationship encouraged by the TV & movies, and my experiences: very little of this has had anything to do with love, very little of it has been lead by love. affection to you Glo, Roger
