Guest guest
andrew: Desire rises and falls as an event in the bodymind. I can watch and feel this without needing to act. It doesn't flood my whole being as it once did though it still burns just as bright and hot. I think Nisargadatta once said "Give the poor body what it wants" but I don't always do that. > Or it does flood the whole being and there's no more trying to dam it up... and inevitable breaking of the dam, so no more destructive surge. I sympathize with this observation andrew. In refusing to experience ones own hell of unmet desires, one is still refusing reality. Likewise, in refusing the experience of fulfillment of ones desires, one is trying to escape from reality too, misled by ones own judgements about what desire is.
