Guest guest
Namaste All, Greg and all, Thanks for your responses re Desires. Let me put it bluntly; Lets presume by the terminology used on here, I am realised and enlightened. I understand all is one and intellectually I am non-dual. Everything is beautiful and as it should be. However I get drunk, go out and shoot and eat a deer, and on the way home rape the first woman I see. Now is everything still as it should be with myself, the deer and the woman? Or is this just doing and seeing? Just happenening? Does this not indicate samskaras or tendencies and set up more karmas and samskaras to prevent Moksha? No matter how non-dual I am in my conscious mind. Do not I absorb the basic animal vibrations into my own mind? I have now reinforced my desires, for one cannot exhaust desire, that is only like pouring fuel on the flames. It seems to me that if we perform and action that we don't like it is an aversion and we are aware of that. However if we perform an action we like, there is not the same conscious registration, but at the subconscious level there are vasanas forming samskaras, or agitations forming tendencies. Someone mentioned a saint who said let the body have a habit. I presume this is referring to Maharaj and his smoking. Now whether he was a jivanmukta, or would be released at leaving the body, I don't know. How many Maharaj's are there? Jeeze, Tony! Lighten up will ya?!? Can't you just have a little wine, take a polaroid of the deer, and meet your soulmate? HAHAHAHA and HOHOHOHO!
