Hi ! I just mentioned to Gill, that when thinking about it, I had been experiencing these feelings in connection with the heart chakra, just like you and others have mentioned experiencing. I read your other mail about the long road out of depression, a remarkable read. Like you, I have experienced that sitting meditation can work wonders for uprooting the mind a little and relax the hold on old thought patterns. Just want to add my views that it takes time as well as a certain amount of effort. I also had a chance to see the inside of anxiety yesterday (I believe there are some similarities b/n anxiety and depression, at least medicines given for one helps for the other, and many ppl suffer from both anxiety and depression). It was most definitely a place of a lot of energy and vitality. Kind of like a black velvet bag strewn with stars on the inside. In the Dzogchen meditation pages that Victor sent to the list yesterday, the teacher owning those pages said in the page about "addiction" that the stronger the neuroses, the stronger the energy = fuel for liberation.
