Hi Greg ! (and everybody else)

Thank you very much for your very kind words.

Actually, the streaming directly from

disc without loading screen

is not my invention, it's courtesy

of Crystal Dynamics (and that's true) and

Eidos,

and is seen in their superb game

"Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver".

(The game also has some interesting

references (?)

to the Kundalini Shakti energy.)

I just had to say that in case there were

some software / computer ppl out there wondering what "streaming directly from

disc" was. :)

Thank you for your post to Moller about

addiction. Very interesting and something

I have to try and test out on my own.

I always read your posts and feel like I

neglect you because I never can make a nice

reply back.

But your logic is more difficult to

follow than my academic supv's and at the

end of a long work day I can't get my

head around it. ;))

I know why I never graduated in philosophy. ;)

I'll keep trying, though, one of these days

you'll get an intellingent and well thought out

reply from me on your "tests" and

explanations of what consciousness is. ;))

I did understand the one about dictionary

explanations to Tony, though.

I thought it was really good,

and simple as well.

Nondual teachings are not easy to understand.

I have one question, btw:

Is "the witness" the same as the Self

and again the same as Shiva ?

Is what is called

"Shakti" the conscious, moving mind

and "Shiva" the still part of our minds /

transcending our minds ?

Love,

Amanda.

Hmm, never seen that game. Cool stuff comes from everywhere, though, ne?

Well then I apologize! I don't want to speak/write in a way that prevents

replies and the joy of interaction! But maybe that does happen, so I'll

try to shorten and simplify. If it ain't said effectively, then it ain't

worth saying!

Please don't bother! If what I said didn't engage or allow you to

interact, then throw it away! By the way, what are you studying? You

mentioned your academic supervisor...

On the Witness and the Self, mostly, yes. The Witness is the Self, and

what is witnessed appears to the Self. This is a teaching to show that the

Self isn't something that arises or is witnessed. It's a teaching model,

and also a state that people find themselves in. Some teachings offer it

as THE place to be, or the place that we really ARE in. It is a very, very

pleasant place to be, but it's still got that subject/object duality going.

That is, there's still something arising and something to which it arises.

I think Roger pointed out something similar in a post re Moller. Not too

sure about the Shiva/Shakti model, I think it comes from Kashmir Shaivism,

and is a more lush, sensuous, theistic way of saying the same things.

With love,
