I don't aspire to be rid of desire. Desire is as strong as ever, but not compelling in the same way as it once was. Enlightenment or the approach of middle age? Desire rises and falls as an event in the bodymind. I can watch and feel this without needing to act. It doesn't flood my whole being as it once did though it still burns just as bright and hot. I think Nisargadatta once said "Give the poor body what it wants" but I don't always do that. These aren't conclusions only observations. andrew
