Guest guest
Namaste All, Harsha thanks for the adwaitin post, how do you join that anyway? It's work to know what to do with one's tendencies.< Tony's answer: Finally some straight truth!!!!!!!! My questions that I recently asked, I already knew 'my', answers to. I wasn't searching as such. Thanks anyway to those who responded. I wanted to see where the people on the list were coming from. They were asked to provoke discussion thats all. It is a fault or judgement of mine that I don't seem to be able to fully trust people unless they go further than words. For example if someone spoke spiritually to me for days and then went and ate a steak. I wouldn't be impressed for it would indicate to me, either no work on samskaras or a total lack of awareness and compassion for the animal. Jivanmuktas notwithstanding. Yet I don't condemn my wife who sits across the table from me eating meat. This is where she is at, and it is perfect for her. She is making no claims about being, realised or enlightened or other spiritual claims. Some of my children eat meat some don't it is their choice, but they make no claims of some kind of knowledge that is in the minority/elite of the planet. I understand Adwaita pretty well, that all is one, it is an appearance, a projection and finally it never did happen at all. There is nothing to find out or see. Moksha sees absolutely nothing! However as Sankara said, 'it is real while you are in it'. We have to deal with it. I suppose what I am saying is one should put one's money where one's mouth is or it is just bullshit! Warm fuzzies are not enough, only the acid test. I personally have a long way to go also, but I am working on it, despite lapses. I tend to think that there are few Jesus's and Buddhas on the planet. Which also seems to be the opinion expressed by known sages.
