Guest guest
Namaste All, There is another explanation for why Kundalini mimics the 'death' process. This is because, the consciousness withdraws from/along the nadis, and moves into and up the sushumna and inner sushumana, citrini, etc up to the level of attainment. Chakra level, I suppose. Then withdraws with the energy sheath containing the vortices and prana, pranamayakosa, to the level of attainment within the astral and mental planes. (There is the second death of course, and the moving on of only the vijnanamayakosa/anandamayakosa, but that is getting a little further than this point.) The inner nadis in the sushumna are the 'tunnel of light', in near death experiences, or more so 'the silver cord'. The idea being to die before we die and of course the K experience doesn't leave the body whereas at death it does. This is apart from the fact a risen K, encourages the death of our desires.
