D: Hi Paul. Thanks for answering my questions!

Truly a pleasure reading what you had to say.

>P: If I were to be aware, I would know about the Self. If I could know about

>the Self, I could realize the Self. If the Self is already realized (which

>can never be otherwise), then of what use is awareness?

D: Useless awareness is the Universe ... :-)

And of what use is it to talk about a Self

that is always already realized?

Love,

Dan

Wonderful. Shall we assume an identity and speak of 'self-importance'?

oops...

I hate it when that happens!

:-)

There's no choice

to be made.

Love it or hate it -

Pick a mask off the wall,

to put over your mask,

or take off the one

that wasn't there.

It just goes on and on.

Dan

D: O.K. My self-importance is supremely important

to me. Without any, what can I have?

Without any, what importance could be

projected onto others?

Assuming someone who could assume an identity, I note:

Even one instant of no self-importance

would be the end of this universe.

Just doodling with words, Paul :-)

Dan

Love the mask analogy.

What better way to 'gain' importance than to 'give' it to another? The

marvel and magnitude of I! My arm is hurting from the pat on the back I so

richly deserve. ahhhh.... Here, you try patting me on the back. ahhh, yes.

Life is good.

With the beauty of expression wonders never cease.

The nice thing about 'instant' is that the universe can be destroyed and/or

created wherever and whenever we wish. The end of self-importance creates

That. That 'creates' this. I could come and go and no one would be the

wiser. (Now that's a funny pun!).

Enjoying the 'doodle' of You.

(without the pat :-) )

D: One good pat deserves another, round and round it goes --

Play the game of pats, protect against those who try to

steal pats, or who pat with claws ... :-)

D: Funny!

Is that you I saw coming and going out

of the corner of my eye?

Speak the word that destroys

and creates the universe instantly.

The word that annihilates understanding.

The word that reveals everything.

D: Enjoying the humor of You.

Self importance is great because without me there wouldn't be any!

_I created self-importance!_

Who would dare to claw one such as I?

My Mexican Friend, Hey-seus, while working on his car one day, said: "I Am

The Word".

What more could be said?

I was busy in the back and thought that I did not hear, so I said "What?".

D: One of your creations, who believes that

you are one of their creations, and that they

are the one who created your self-importance.

D: Hmmmm... "the Way, the Truth, the Life"?

>I was busy in the back and thought that I did not hear, so I said "What?".

D: Say, "Hey!"

Say the Word and You'll be Free.

The blind leading the blind.

Self-importance can see itself very clearly. As for the rest - well,

glasses come in handy! (It's a different way of looking at these things on

top of my nose.)

- Without self-importance, I will never be right.

> Say the Word and You'll be Free.

"Halleluiah!"

"If I cannot be captured, I cannot be free. If I am destroyed, I will gain

new strength. If existence is banished, I alone will exist. Who am I?" - I

remember growing up and enjoying these kinds of guessing games. I was never

good at answering them, but I enjoyed them just the same. Roger defined

"neti-neti" as 'not this, not this'. I see that it is not the question that

must be answered, but it is the search itself. (not this, not that).

I am paraphrasing this: "The Truth can only be referred to, never spoken of

directly." I like that thought.

This is completely off from the track we were on, but here it is anyway.

Spirits soar with the Breath of us,

Thanks for letting mine fly. :-)
