Guest guest
The highest rung of understanding in the great spiritual traditions emphasize being aware of the innate wakefulness of Pure Being. > > Be Watchful. > > Watch your Watchfulness. > > Harsha > Thanks for your comments Harsha. Regarding "continual and vigilant watchfulness": Here are a couple of verses from the "Yoga Sutras, an interpertive translation by Swami Venkatesananda" http://dailyreadings.com/sutras_1.htm I.2: Yoga happens when there is stilling (in the sense of continual and vigilant watchfulness) of the movement of thought - without expression or suppression - in the indivisible intelligence in which there is no movement. I. 3: In the light of non-volitional, non-moving and therefore spontaneous and choiceless awareness the undivided intelligence with its apparent and passing modifications or movements of thought within itself is not confused with nor confined to any of these. Then (when yoga thus happens), the seer or the homogeneous intelligence which is ignorantly regarded as the separate experiences of sensations and emotions, and the separate performer of actions, is not split up into one or the other of the states or modifications of the mind, and exists by itself and as itself. Roger Thanks Roger. Beautiful and breathtaking! Harsha // All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
