Khazars? What's the problem?

Namaste All,

 

Recently there was a big cofuffle about the Khazars

here in Canada, over a visiting speaker. It seemed it

was regarded as anti-semitic? However I went to that

site

I couldn't see anything that was anti-semitic. I do

have a grandparent that was Irish Jewish, whether from

Sephardic, which is likely in Ireland, or Ashkenazim,

I don't know for sure.

 

I would be interested to hear Jewish opinions on this

subject, especially as it seems to be somewhat

debatable.
