Revelation 2:17a) it's a developed taste, a distinctive palate, an uncolorful peasantry meal; not unpleasant, simply unadorned and, frankly, somewhat disappointing in its presentation i generally prefer a three-tier cake (pudding fill, creme-de-la-creme and upper crust frosting), carried in by bedecked attendants and marched right up to the head table for the crowned and medaled puffpastry victors' delight but this flatcake, earthbread, fill-my-crock-once-a-day routine unraised unleavened bread barely touches my tongue and i wonder why they call it BreadFromHeaven at all why do You hide, Bread of Heaven, why wear the mask that makes You look like me (or Joe, the badbreath bartender, for that matter) why give Yourself to us in hiding? why such earthenware disguise? why give Yourself to us? why give Yourself?
