Yet he never cared for his body. The tumour would be dressed and bandaged everyday. Once when the bandage was removed and the wound was being washed with alchololic spirit, excess of spirit flowed out of the bottle, on to Bhagavan's hands and down his leg. Bhagavan exclaimed , "Spirit Snanam (Spirit bath). Very Good! All must do Spirit Snanam . All must be immersed in the Spirit always !". > > A Malayali devotee once came to Ramana Ashram and said that he would write the first biography of Bhagavan Ramana and that it would be in malayalam. Permission was given for this. So the devotee went around the town quickly collecting information from here and there about what they knew about Bhagavan. He seemed to be in a hurry and consequently whatever information he got was hearsay. Still, he wrote all of it down and finished his biography in Malayalam. Now there was only one other devotee in Ramana Ashram (Kunju Swami) who could read malayalam and he was out of town. The only other person who knew Malayalam was Bhagavan Himself. So this devotee took his work to Bhagavan and told Him that this was His biography in Malayalam. Bhagavan carefully went through the full "biography". > According to this ,Bhagavan was a lawyer from Madurai who had been married and who had left everything and come here, that he had miraculous powers which he displayed etc etc. All of which was sheer falsehood. Yet Bhagavan meticulously went through the manuscript , corrected a few spellings, changed the grammar a bit and then gave it back to the devotee , saying it was ok. The devotee was ecstatic, the first biography has been written in malayalam and Bhagavan had approved it. > Since none of the other inmates knew malayalam , they were all happy since Bhagavan Himself approved it and hence must be true. > After a few days Kunju Swami appeared. He was very happy when informed about the biography in malayalam and immediately went through the full manuscript. To his horror , he found it full of rubbish. He took the author to task saying ,"This is all false , you cant publish this ." The author was stubborn saying, "Bhagavan Himself has corrected and approved it ". Kunju Swami then saw Bhagavan's handwriting in the manuscript. With a sad heart, he went to Bhagavan and showed him the false biography and asked Him, "Bhagavan , Is this all true then ?". > Bhagavan smilingly replied , "You mean only This is false and everything else you see around you is True ?" > Kunju Swami later added , "To Bhagavan who was supremely established in the Self , the actual biography was probably of the same level as this fake biography". >
