Guest guest
Antoine, Thanks for this quote! You selected a great one. The MEDITATIONS ON THE TAROT is one of the finest books on hermetic mysticism. I know a whole group of people here in NYC who study this book through the years. The author is not exactly anonymous, but is thought to be Valentin Tomberg, a former student of Rudolf Steiner, the anthroposophist. For an insider's perhaps partial view of Tomberg, see: http://www.vermontel.com/%7Evtsophia/boegner.htm Antoine wrote: >I came to read this last night, a flower among others: > >"The Hermeticist is essentially an _iconophile_. No path goes nowhere. Paths, places, sights, perceptions, and indeed all experiences arise from and exist in and subside back into the Space of Awareness. Like waves rising are not different than the ocean, all things arising from Awareness are of the nature of Awareness. Awareness does not come and go but is always Present. It is Home. Home is where the Heart Is. Jnanis know the Heart to be the Finality of Eternal Being. A true devotee relishes in the Truth of Self-Knowledge, spontaneously arising from within into It Self.
