Some great Sants from India include: Tukarama, Mira Bai, Namdev, Palti, Dariya Sahib, Dadu, Kabir, Guru Nanak, Tulsi Sahib, Soami Ji Maharaj, and many other spiritual giants. As with all religions, east and west, there are many different branches, movements, spin offs, and splinter groups. It's always a good idea to learn WHERE a guru got his teachings from and if everythings on the up and up, or if guru x, y, or z is self-appointed with many skeletons in the closet. I will be getting some very detailed information soon which may interest you. I prefer sharing this off-list. If I can get your e mail address I will forward this to you, as well as answer your questions. Peace, James spiritualawakeningatonelist
