Out of print books and Portland OR

Wow, this brings back some fond memories for me too.

 

I spent a year as an exch. student in OR and

used to go in to Portland a Sat once in a while

to get out of Hippietown.

 

Many times I would have only two hours in

Portland before the 2h journey back to Hippietown,

and those would always be spent at Powell's

going crazy among all those bookshelves. )

 

Now of course I regret never having taken the time

to visit the Japanese garden. However, I looked

for Japanese comics (manga) while at Powell's,

enjoying the mad pop culture feel of them.
