I enjoyed your post very much! This was my experience also. In fact, the

Over on nds the main topics of the past few days have been death,

money, and what is non duality.

I posted this excerpt of my life and my perspective about money

on nds and think you may enjoy it here - or not. :-))

-----------------------

Well, folks, my days of idle pleasure are soon to end. I have

recieved a very lucrative job offer with a local telecom. You

may think me mad, but I may still turn down the job. It is after all

for a mere annual salary of 90k. Geeze, and to think I'll be

working 3 on 4 off 4 on 3 off.

Since my awakening experience last year I have developed a

completelydifferent attitude toward money. Different that is from

what I used to have. I was raised on welfare as a child. There were

times when we went hungry for days on end. I always thought that money

would solve all problems. Sheesh!

Eventually I began to notice a pattern in life. No matter how much

money I had or didn't have somehow I was always being taken care of.

This was demonstrated most vividly for me during the past year.

When I learned of my mother's terminal cancer I left my position with

a very successful consulting company to be with her. At that time I

had about 12 grand in the bank and was doing ok. Well, of course the

money rapidly disappeared. About two months after Mom passed on I took

a nice position with a dot com company. That lasted a month. I

immediately went to work for another company, that lasted about three

months. Then, again the money ran out.

Financially I was on the verge of losing everything I owned. House,

car all that stuff was on the line. But, strangely enough, I wasn't

worried. My most pressing desire was to learn the ultimate answer to

life's biggest questions - Why? What does it Mean? Who the fuck am I?

That sort of thing. :-))

Friends started loaning me money without my asking. I found little

short term (1-2 day) contracts that kept the small bills paid. I

even shoveled llama dung one weekend!

Then in December my awakening occurred. I won't say much about that

here except this. Now, I am a mystic! I know for sure what Rumi's

poems are about! :-)))))))))))))

Anyway... A few months ago I was offered a short term contract at $95

Now I am flush with money again and have an excellent job offer.

So, does it matter whether one is rich or poor? No, not really, for

as JC said '...consider the lilies of the field. They niether sow nor

do they reap. Yet Solomon in all his glory was not so well adorned as

these.' Or something like that! ;-))

All is a gift

I am the gift

I am the giver

I recieve myself in all that is.

Pass the wine of yourself and deeply will I drink of your love.

HAHAHAH and HOHOHO!

Peace - trust - Michael

I would be glad if all of you here wish to share your knowledge and wisdom

with me.

Please tell me the meaning of life.

Thanks.

With Love,

Rather, I would say, the meaning of life got me! :-))

By way of allegory and myth - just for fun:

Well, there I WAS, Nasir, this vast and incomphrehensible BEING

filling all of the VOID. One non-day I decided that I wanted to do

SOMETHING so I 'created' EVERYTHING. Why? Because I COULD! So, I DID!

Then I dove into it, you might say, and fired IT all up and set IT

into MOTION. Every once in a GREAT WHILE one of the countless forms

of apparently sentient beings will just stop for a moment to gaze

out upon the PLAY and wonder - 'What does it all mean?'

I LAUGH and LAUGH and LAUGH at the wonderful STORY of MYSELF!

SILLY and DRAMATIC, ain't it?

With LOVE,

Your closest FRIEND and Ally - BEING. :-))))))))))))))))
