I've had this happen occasionally when I was teaching a class.< Yoga Nidra is above the dream state, so there is no consciousness at all. It is similar to deep sleep/sushupti but it is constant for the duration. I usually last less than 30 minutes but some can last indefinately. I don't want to be Rip Van Winkle and go in for 100 years or so, ha ha ha ah The getting lost is the mind wandering around, there is a black level as well, kind of a river styxx, but again yoga nidra is not experiencing anything but the one deep sleep thought wave or veil.
