Does everyone already know about ?? www.bookfinder.com This search engine will check databases of all the booksellers on the web, for both new and used copies and give the top few results in order of price..just another click and your into where you want to order from. It also interacts with the other good search engine: www.bibliofind.com here you can even list your own used books for sale. Tho I never seem to part with a book myself. Recently bought a new paperback copy of Brian Greene's The Elegant Universe..making superstring theory understandable to even the likes of me at only $7.50 NEW which is half the publisher's list price of $15.00. Sometimes the price new is less than used. Also great for finding used books. (PS> Don't type bookfinderS by mistake, it is not as good.)
