Presently we are environed in mind and matter and have forgotten our true self. To enter the region of God, we have to restore the pristine beauty in each one of us. But they (Spiritual Teachers) also see that the soul is deeply embedded in the mire of mind and illusion. Their job is to extricate us from this tangled web so we can regain our purity and merge back in God.
