The warmth and kindness of your post make it very difficult to respond. l'm sorry l was unable to attend the retreat and partake of the genuine fellowship that was clearly present in the wonderful photos that were displayed. One of my greatest regrets was being unable to meet you for, as you say, l feel a strong heart connection to you. Recent weeks have been difficult: first, trying to support a friend thru an endless and intense spiritual crisis, and then, when l finally was able to step back from that, learning of the sudden death of my dear brother in law. So this week has been one of mourning and supporting grieving family members. And again, bowing before death. Your post was truly solace for an aching heart. love, jerry
Guest guest
Dear Linda, Thank you for the heartfelt message. Nice hearing from you. Amanda, Bo,Greg & Gloria too. Just found this on a piece of paper lying on the floor. " That which comes is not to be avoided, that which goes is not to be followed". All my love, ~jessica - LC Wednesday, October 04, 2000 4:41 AM Re: Jessica/3 things Hello Jessica: I definitely understand loss as a companion especially in the last 5 years (we must share similar eclipse patterns) my heart goes out to you. As I stand at the point where I now am finalizing the losses and looking towards rebuilding it has become apparent that along the way many false identities were also shed. Life has always had a generous helping of loss and there was strength and wisdom gained from each experience. This last go-round seems to have shifted something deep within for I no longer had the tendency to blame others or rage at fate it all became a play and I an actor in that play. It became time to put beliefs to the test and I found that within the losses anything that mattered was there and could never be anything but everything. Good luck with your move I hope the new setting is filled with light and beauty. Love, Linda > Hi Jessica,>> There are 3 intense things in life that often occur together, or often 2> out of 3 occur together -->> 1. changing living quarters> 2. changing job> 3. changing/gaining/losing a significant other>> I know you are in the process of moving (and writing e-mail too!) - areyou> also doing either of the other two things??>> Love,>> --Greg>Yes. A variation of the theme on all 3 and more. Might say loss has been myconstant companion for the last 5 years.Love,~jessica// All paths go somewhere. No path goes nowhere. Guest guest
Hi Jessica, I like it! Was the piece of paper from a new-age fortune cookie? A friend of mine who runs a zendo says the same thing, "We don't pull them in the door when they come, and we don't slam the door in their butts when they go."
