I'm reminded of something Christiana said in the chatroom a few months ago, "maybe we're all in drag." When most of our interaction is online, gender is sometimes uncertain or irrelevant. For example, I remember before I saw Gene Poole's picture I thought he might be a woman, because of a maternal feel about some of his interactions. Traditions take on new forms as the enter new cultures. We stand on the threshold of a new global culture. We are the first matriarchs/patriarchs. It is a wonderful time to be alive. love, andrea/w
