Guest guest
Hi friends. I just received this quote today from one of the lists I am on (a quote list, not a spiritual list): The way to be nothing is to do nothing. -Nathaniel Howe The way the quote was presented suggested to me that the list owner believes that "being nothing" is a negative thing (and it would be much better to want to "be something"). The further along my path that I travel the more I'm starting to realize that being nothing isn't a half-bad goal. Every time I've wanted to be something, this struggling has eroded into my peace. Doing nothing and being nothing sounds awfully nice. "Outside ideas of right doing and wrong doing there is a field. I'll meet you there." -Rumi I realize that none of this is exactly news to most of you, but (for whatever reason) I did feel moved to share my thoughts on this (perhaps only so some of you can nod with a sagely smile in the same way a father smiles when his son throws a baseball for the first time). Thanks for listening. I hope you are all well- Mike
