Dear Harsha,

 

Ha, ha, ha (sigh) ... now it is you who have put me to shame. The warmth

and kindness of your post make it very difficult to respond. l'm sorry l was

unable to attend the retreat and partake of the genuine fellowship that was

clearly present in the wonderful photos that were displayed. One of my

greatest regrets was being unable to meet you for, as you say, l feel a

strong heart connection to you.

Recent weeks have been difficult:

first, trying to support a friend thru an endless and intense spiritual

crisis, and then, when l finally was able to step back from that, learning

of the sudden death of my dear brother in law. So this week has been one of

mourning and supporting grieving family members. And again, bowing before

death. Your post was truly solace for an aching heart.

Thank you for sharing your heart Jerry. Often, we have no control over the

cards life deals us. You are in all our thoughts and prayers. where ever you

are, you are integral part of our community. This Satsangha is more than

retreats or a physical presence, but a mental atmosphere of pure presence,

acceptance, and love. We are this atmosphere.

 

I wish you comfort and peace my friend. May you be surrounded always Jerry,

in the atmosphere of friendship, fellowship, and love.

Dear Jerry:

 

My heart and thoughts are with you at this time. Often I feel the

greatest blessing in life is to be able to love others with

compassion and to have the strength to act on love. As Harsha stated

we have no control over the cards that are dealt us and when one goes

through life with consciousness the cards can sometimes be difficult.

I'm sure that those who are blessed enough to have you to lean on

benefit from your presence. Be peaceful and try to extend some of

your kindness towards your self.
