Can anyone recommend training institutions or schools for counselling?

A friend of mine is interested in doing philosophic counseling, as in Lou

Marinoff's book PLATO NOT PROZAC! APPLYING PHILOSOPHY TO EVERYDAY PROBLEMS.

She has the philosophy, but is interested in training/practice in helping

people.

Thanks for any leads!

attained to this exalted state via filling out a form on the

internet! Perfectly legal, or so she says.

While being an ordained minister doesn't necessarily provide

any training, it can serve in lieu of licensing and certification.

Hope this helps.

Dear Reverend Holy Holly,

Thanks for that URL! My friend appreciates it, might use it as another

sheepskin. I think it's pretty impressive for this place (would you call

it an ordination mill?) to stay around so long...

Love,

Gator here... mother-in-law is a reverend from ULC also... to say

more... she is a beautiful person... but Greg said the most

important... "mill"... and we know the mill never grinds with the

water that is passed... need to climb back into the pond and lurk.

I must confess, I too posess

a ULC ordination certificate

-- I thought it would come in

handy for visiting friends in

the hospital to have a

"clergy" windshield placard

and, when they occasion

demanded, I could officiate

at a wedding. I've never

made use of either privilege.

Wow! Maybe one Shri for every year you've had the sheepskin, and another

Shri for every Shri.... Hey, wait a minute - one Shri for every Shri?

Sounds like an infinite loop, and too many to fit on the business cards!
