When I was pregnant with Nicolas, i planted a couple of thousand flowers in a couple of acres and i got carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists. This made me hold my wrists in an odd curled position because of the pain. My son, when going to sleep or resting will often hold his wrists now in this position. I also played alot of music for him before he was born, Mozart, Bach, etc., and he now becomes very relaxed with music. Finally, he was in the reversed position, and his head pressed against my lower back bone very hard because he faced the wrong way around. Anyway, now if I place my hand with a firm feeling on his skull, it will almost instantly relax him. I think what we absorb in the fetal birthing process is much, much greater than we could imagine. Perhaps all the emotions and physical and mental and spiritual energies of our parents... it is tres interesante. Love, Annette
Guest guest
Hi Folks, I have noticed that for about a year or so now, I tend to stand often with my hands in a very specific gesture. My left hand is placed palm up, about midway between my navel and my Adam's apple (just at the bottom or apex of the heart), and my right hand is cradled, also palm up in the left. My thumbs touch, and now and then, I stick my right forefinger outside the circle of my forefingers and thumbs. Rarely, I reverse the hands so that my left hand rests in my right, but I usually feel this is wrong somehow (seems like hubris). today as I stepped out of the shower, holding my hands thusly, I had the thought that this mudra is analogous to the fetal position. Can anyone tell me about this? Love, Mark
