Time to get off this

endless carousel.

We have more

than we need

of these brass rings.

Come with me,

We'll go out

and dance

in the rain

to the music

of the thunder

until our skin wrinkles,

and then

by the fire,

under a quilt

of stars,

we'll share our

secret

love

stories.

Ah, but this is why your poems are so light and clear and poignant! Holly

Hey Mace,

This eye-of-beholder likes your prose, too!

I couldn't even complete this short note without using spell check several

times. The stuff I write really does, pretty much write itself, and

there is

a lot of it that I don't particularly care for. However, I do like the

one above,

it was a challenge to bring it back from that "Place" that we all go from

time to time, that is also always "Here". You know, I've had comments

both positive and negative about this stuff, and it always seems that its

an "eye of the beholder" thing ultimately and when we see beauty its

our own being reflected back.

Ahhh Mace,

Well, thank you for the wonderful compliment, because I see enormous

beauty in your mirror-poetry. Some of the best I have ever read!!

(please keep 'em coming) and stop in yourself now and then as I think

your personal post is an important contribution as well. I write a

little poetry now and then too and the only stuff that I like is that

for which I essentially get out of the way. anyway, after loving your

poetry posts, it's nice to also meet you! (and thanks to Jerry for

flushing you out of the undercover)

Love, Mark
