Guest guest
Hi Gang, Here is a poem of mine that I read at the gathering: Separation When I was very young, I was told about the boundaries between nations and states. When I was a little older, I went to look for them. I searched hard and long, walking back and forth, my eyes glued to the ground, looking for the lines, which separated nations and states. I did not find them. When I was middle aged, I was told about the boundaries between people, the ego structures that make you you and also make me me. When I was a little older, I went looking for them. I searched long and hard, talking back and forth, my ears glued to the sound, listening for the descriptions of thoughts or emotions which were truly different, truly separate. I did not find them. Now that I am old, I am told of the separation between life and death. When I am a little older, I shall go to look for it.
