Guest guest
Dear editor, Here's some feedback on your newly launched web magazine from one of your readers. The front page looks very good, neat and well organized and easy to read and get an overview of the site. I especially liked the article of OH's time in zen. Nice story. Can understand the need for a breather after too much Japanese discipline. However, some pages of the web site have a very long load time. The only pages I really tested for this were the "teachers" page and the page with writings by Dan Berkow. I do find it strange these pages should load with so much time considering they are pure text pages with no animations or pictures. But this was also a problem with the old web pages. Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing the next edition of this most interesting magazine and will happily peruse the current issue until the new edition is out. Yours truly, Amanda. Thanks for your good comments, Amanda. The teachers page is probably a little information-rich. I need to break it down to about 4 pages. Dan's page should have loaded quickly. I appreciate the feedback because I have had a DSL connection for well over a year and things load up pretty fast. I'm with a very good ISP and their servers should be able to handle what's demanded of them. Perhaps the slow download times were only temporary. You say there was a problem with the old web pages. Do you mean other web pages on the site load slowly? I'll try to make the magazine interesting next month. We'll bring in a bunch of authors that weren't in this first issue and hopefully we'll get some material that's never been posted to a list or published anywhere else. There are lots of possibilities for the magazine. We can have an all-women's issue, an all-poetry issue, a Kundalini issue, a Ramana issue, a humor issue. I plan to have fun with it.
