Guest guest
One of the most wonderous things I have ever seen was in a place where I once worked as a minor prefunctionary, a mid level bureaucrat. A loathsome occupation at best, but that is not the central theme of this remembrance. This place was responsible for the care of very severely handicapped children, and among them was a young girl of about nine or ten. She was, since birth, blind, deaf, and unable to move except in small involuntary shudders. She was also what most would consider to be severely disfigured and was probably in constant pain that she could never voice, having no communication with the world. She could only be fed by tubes and she required constant diligent care to sustain her life. This aside, she was beyond question the most divine being that I have encountered in this lifetime. A light of love and grace, that in its brilliance, was greater than any other I have ever witnessed in a mortal frame, came from her small contorted body. Words, any words could never express the radiance of the beauty of this child. Peer into this world with the eyes of your heart, brothers and sisters. They are among us. Rest assured, They are among us. Mace
