Guest guest
The play of concepts is endless. Concepts about the body, the mind, spirit, etc. It is the quicksand which entangles one more and more. It is the stuff of religion, philosophy, spirituality, great writers, great thinkers, great teachers, great leaders, etc. The presumption to teach and help others to improve themselves reveals the unrelenting grip of the ego. The wise say, that, "I am the doer" notion is bondage. To go to the root of the ego, one should bring the awareness upon its own essence and thus stare at the originating point of thoughts and feelings. It is the essence of simplicity. Spiritual practitioners seek complex and glamorous practices leading to rich experiences. That is alright. Ultimately one must come to face with the directness of one's own awareness. Or maybe someone finds great joy in being with others when they discover their hearts. Teaching others could be just another way of living the fact that we are One, I am happy when you are happy. Could this be another aspect of those who want to be spiritual teachers ? Just an idea. :-)) Finally one must do the A to Z by himself, no one else can do it for him. Teaching and learning stop at some point and personal experience takes their place. Love Horia - Harsha (Dr. Harsh K. It is a message and a warning, not to seek the Self by any practice of avoidance (like a lifelong retreat in the woods or so). Guest guest
I remember lying on a deck on the lake in the woods, young, and looking into the night sky so shinny of stars, like milk dropping. I remember walking on a road so dark, I could not even see my hands, my body, if I looked at it. The concept of aloneness is a strange one as much as the concept of the other, What can I say it is a strange and a wonderful world. The moon shines at noon. Guest guest
Once again Harsha speaks to my heart. As I move through the daily dynamics of many life shifts I am often aware of how dear to the ego was the role of 'teacher'. While some intent was to help others there is no denial that the ego enjoyed the job. Beyond the ego pain is the full awareness of the benefit of shedding another external identity. Within simply being arise many opportunities to reach out to others who are one with me rather than students of 'mine'. Namaste, Linda ..
